Oh Postpartum, what a doozy. It is so tricky to plan for, since you just don't know what you get until you get there. Your body is healing. Your hormones are shifting. Your routine is changing overnight. There are gadgets that are super helpful, some that are just taking up space and others that are nice to have, but not a must How to you decide what is really going to make a difference for you and your family and what is going to add clutter and chaos? Good question. Here are my top picks from a Mama of three.

Take it all in and decide what you think will be helpful, based on your own needs, space and budget. Luckily, with Amazon and other delivery services, even last minute purchases can make it to your door step in just a few days.

The best way to make this phase easier is to prepare for it in what ever way you can.

Besides items and gadgets - a strong support plan is the foundation. Who is your care team and village? My quick tips for survival postpartum are the following:

  1. If you can set up a food train, do it. A food train is a simple schedule where friends, neighbors or family sign up to deliver meals. You can use a website service or ask someone to run it through a spreadsheet or plan it yourself prior to giving birth. This does not need to be done in person. A family member across the country can coordinate it online. It takes workload off your plate and lets you focus on rest, feeding, and recovery. If you do not have friends or family available, consider a healthy meal delivery service. Two good balanced options include

• a clean, whole-foods based weekly delivery service: Factor

• a meal service that focuses on nutrient-dense meals: Trifector

Or meal prep and have simple recipes on hand, freeze some meals, and coordinate with who ever is close by to make the meals that will help you stay nurished and happy.

  1. Another way to prepare is to coordinate roles with your partner. Decide who handles cleaning. Who takes older kids outside. Who covers nighttime support. Create a loose schedule that helps you both stay grounded.

  2. Manage expectations early. If you need a calm environment, sleep, and cleanliness, communicate that. Talk about how much help you need with the baby or with household tasks. Share what kinds of gifts support you. For some mamas, flowers are lovely, for me personally, I didn't want my counters cluttered and to look after - pot plants, yes please, flowers, not a good options for me. For others, doing the dishes means more. You can even create a simple wish list with helpful items. Everything in this post can be part of that list.

My top 10 Favorite Postpartum Items and Gadgets

1. Brumate 40-oz Tumbler Hydration is everything in postpartum recovery and breastfeeding. This tumbler is leak-proof, dishwasher-safe, and keeps drinks cold or warm for hours. It has a straw and is easy to carry to every couch, bed, or rocking chair station. You will drink more water without thinking about it.

Pair it with Instant electrolytes. They use clean, transparent ingredients and taste great. Electrolytes help with hydration, energy, and recovery. Always run supplements by your doctor to be sure they fit your needs.

2. Pregnancy Pillow If you skipped this during pregnancy, grab one now. Postpartum can still bring discomfort. You will spend long periods feeding, holding, and rocking your baby. A pregnancy pillow gives you support for your hips, back, and shoulders. It helps you find a comfortable position and reduces tension while you heal.

3. Boppy-style Feeding Pillow A good feeding pillow saves your back and shoulders. It keeps the baby lifted so you are not holding their full weight during breastfeeding sessions. It supports baby during naps on your chest and makes bottle feeding easier for partners too.

4. Postpartum Pajamas and Lounge Sets Your body is sweating, leaking, and adjusting. Comfortable, soft sets that allow easy access for nursing and punmping make a big difference. And it can truly contribute to feeling yourself and comfortable. Grab a few sets so you always have something fresh to change into. Add cozy socks and a supportive pair of house shoes. These little comforts help you feel more like yourself. Check out my favorite Pajama set, beige Lounge set, black lounge set and cosy house shoes.

5. Nipple Cream and Dermaclara Reusable Masks Nipple cream is essential if you pump or breastfeed. For self-care, Dermaclara masks for the forehead, eyes, neck, and tummy are amazing. They support skin recovery and are reusable up to 30 times. They are simple to use during nap windows and feel calming after long nights.

6. Portable Breast Pumps With multiple kids, mobility matters. Portable pumps that slip into your bra let you prepare snacks, chase toddlers, or tidy up while still pumping. Or maybe you are trying to relax and pump on the couch instead of close to a soccet. My favorite pump is the Momcozy pump. If you struggle with supply or suction, consider adding a plug-in pump with stronger power.

Pair them with the Momcozy nursing bra. Look for soft material, pump-friendly access, and easy washing.

7. Baby Camera and White Noise Machine Having a Baby Cam is not a must, yet it helps keep the baby sleeping in a calm room while older siblings play or while spending time further away from baby room while still being able to see and hear whats .going on We used a model that has both an app and a monitor.

Add the Hatch noise machine or the MomCozy version. Both offer night-light options and consistent white noise. White noise supports sleep and helps babies settle faster.

8. Baby Carrier Options A good carrier is essential. It frees your hands, supports bonding, and lets you move around without waking the baby. I learned more with each baby and found three great options that support alignment and development. Always check age and safety guidelines for each carrier. Babybjorn, momcozy, and Grownsy

9. Postpartum Workout Starter Pack When you feel ready to begin gentle movement, having the right equipment helps. I recommend a visually clean, lightweight workout set that includes: light dumbbells, a small exercise ball (used often in my Core Restore program), resistance bands.

Pair it with a soft, supportive yoga mat. This kit makes your return to strength training smoother and less intimidating.
